Pantry Snap is built to be quick while you unpack groceries. If something does not behave as expected, use the notes below before reaching out.

Common questions

To add fast, scan a barcode or tap "From Guide" — a name is all that's required, photos are optional.
If a stamp is missing or unreadable, tap "Estimate" to fill the date from the storage guide, then adjust it.
If a reminder should fire earlier, open the item and change the reminder timing, or set a default in Settings.
Add your own storage places (like a garage shelf) under Settings → Custom storage locations.
Mark items Used or Tossed to keep your shelf tidy and feed the Insights dashboard.
Add the "Expiring Soon" widget from the Home Screen or Lock Screen widget gallery.

Make sure notifications are enabled in iOS Settings if reminder alerts are missing.
If a barcode will not scan, type the digits under it into the manual field, or add the item by name.
An unknown barcode still lets you continue — just fill in the details by hand.
Use brighter lighting when scanning or capturing stamps on reflective cans or jars.
The widget refreshes after you change your inventory and again after midnight.
